Falling behind on this again. I've been so busy and still nervous about the pregnancy. We had an appointment on July 22nd and it was great. Heartbeat strong and was moving around a bit. Growing just in time. I have an appointment in 2 weeks and we'll see how big the baby has gotten. :)  I doubt we'll find out the sex of the baby then. I want to know so bad. I haven't bought anything since finding out because I want to know what colors to get. I should start getting bottles. And pacifiers. And um, I don't know what else to get. I think after this next appointment I'll start really wanting to get things. :)

So I was suppose to keep with blog up and somethings come up to talk about.

And so it begins.

On Friday, June 24th, I found out that I am pregnant.

Today, I'm about 6-7 weeks along.

And it's the scariest time. I spotted today. And it has scared me to death. I was so shocked and hysterical at first. Our plans for traveling, for marriage, for everything.

But then A did an incredible job. He told me of all the wonderful things we would be doing as a family, including having our child at our wedding and how wonderful it would all be.

And that's what I look forward to. I've been praying every night that everything goes well. And will continue.

After being away for a year and half, I'm attempting to start again.

It's been a rough year and I'm glad that in the end, it was all amicably solved. Though I didn't have the ending exactly how I would have liked, I am free.

It's been a busy 5 months since I left Omaha. I've been trying to get back into shape and enjoying the wonders of Colorado, specifically the town I ended up in, Steamboat Springs. It's a resort town that's located about 3 hours Northwest of Denver. Gorgeous in the Winter and Spring, starting to enjoy the Summer and can't wait to see what Fall is like. I miss my cats and the place I made my home for all those years. I miss my friends and I miss Target. Haha, it's ok. Though it's more expensive to live here, it's a healthier lifestyle and I am enjoying walks around town, riding my bike next to the river and the hot springs.

Though he's most likely doing well and not giving a crap about me, I hope my ex is doing well.

My new relationship has been incredible and I look forward to having it grow and see what happens in our future. Til next time.

This past week was wonderful. We went to Texas for Thanksgiving. It was the first time that Rick had taken time off since Christmas last year. And it was our first trip with our new kittens, Callia and Walther. Callia LOVED hanging out in the front of the truck, Walther HATED it.

Oh yeah, we got a new car! My car, the VW we called Hans, was just not working out anymore. TOO EXPENSIVE to fix and so we got a Chevy Tahoe. Yay! Something Rick can work on! It will be great driving it during the winter and it will be GREAT if/when we have kids. Everyone, including the kitties will fit perfectly in it.

Anyways, Rick's mom surprised us by coming in from Florida. So we stayed a couple more days and we hung out, got nice and fat with 2 Thanksgiving dinners.

Nothing much else has been going on. This is the longest Rick's been home and it's been the GREATEST time. We've just hung out with our friends and enjoying the great weather. Fall has been wonderful. I'm excited for the snow to come this winter!

Yesterday was my godson's 1st birthday. I had so much fun taking pictures of him throughout the afternoon. The shirt he wore was the same one his daddy wore on his first birthday so I had to get a good one for his grandmother to have. It was a lot of fun and can't believe that the year went by so quickly.
Nothing much else going on. I need to work on the house a little more, I need to paint the living room and dining room. And I've been keeping up on laundry. That's pretty awesome. Haha, it's nice to have everything clean and picked up around during the week. But hopefully I'll find a job sometime soon. Anyways, nothing much else going on. :)

MAMA AND ME!!

Ok, so I didn't stick with my resolution. Bad Angela! Well, it's been a busy year so far. Let's see... we've been working on the house. We finally got to do the floors. We sanded, stained, sealed and now our floors are gorgeous!! I'm so happy!! We had a HORRIBLE carpet that covered the hardwood floors. And now it's all gone and beautiful. So we did them because my mom was coming into town and I didn't want her to see that we hadn't done anything with the house. She loved them and we decided on her vacation to visit me, we would go shopping!!!! I took a whole week off from work. It was great! We got new blinds, new cookware, new shoes... ok, so not everything we got was for the house.... :) The weather was beautiful and we got to play outside a lot. She also enjoyed hanging out with my babies. Bella and Leo are doing GREAT since the other cats finally got out of the house. Pickles is with a new family and Monique and Tequila were left in TX. Unfortunatly, we found out Tequila died a couple weeks back. I was sad, since she was the sweeter of the 2.

ONE OF MY GORGEOUS TULIPS

We also got to play with our godson for a whole week... by ourselves. His mama was deployed and his dad had to go on a trip. So... we got to take care of them... Major props to the moms out there because I can't figure out how the hell you guys do it! It was hard and exhausting and we've decided to not have any for at LEAST 5 more years!!!! It's crazy. Yes, I know it's different when you have your own... but yeah, not us. It's totally not in the pic for us and we're happy with that decision. Mom took it somewhat well hearing that. :)

MY FLOORS

Anyways, that's about it. Just working and having fun working on the house. I will hopefully have pics up soon of the new changes and hopefully we will have lots of them.

AND OF COURSE ME AND HUBBY

Thursday, January 08, 2009

Okay... so I got a haircut again... I did the every 6 weeks thing and this time I went a little shorter than the last time. I love having hair this short. I can't believe that I didn't do it sooner. Well, I did do it in college and it wasn't that great then. It was chin length and there was no motion or volume to it. So I'm happy I finally found a look that I love and I think I might just stick with it for a while...

This is after the hairstylist workered her magic and made it super cute with hairspray, blow drying in some way, and stuff.

And this is tonight... after some wine and not washing my hair for a day and a half. I'll hopefully have better pics later.

I hope that everyone got a lot of rest and a nice day for New Year's. I wanted to get the house cleaned up and I did start that project. But as I was doing laundry, my dumb washer finally did its last spin. It hasn't been working in a long time, sometimes wanting to spin and sometimes just letting everything sit in water. So Rick looked up prices at our wonderful Nebraska Furniture Mart. It's only available in the area and it's an AWESOME place. All of our furniture is from there and it's the place with the best deals. So we went and found a washer AND dryer. For an awesome deal. So here they are... Fred and Wilma!
They are living in our basement, which I'm looking forward to finally getting cleaned up and making it better looking. We want to paint the basement a brighter color and the cement with something that I can't remember right now. So yeah, I can't wait til it's gorgeous down there. :)
It's the silliest thing to get excited about but I've never had brand new washer and dryer. It's incredible to think that I am getting all these awesome appliances in MY house. They are all mine and I am looking foward to using them often...

Happy New Year everyone!!
Last night, Rick and I ended up just staying home and eating Chinese, watching Bond movies and having drinks. That was perfectly all right with me. Last year was way too crazy for me. So I was happy to stay home. Happy New Year from Rick, Angela, Bella, Leo and Pickles (not pictured or else Bella would kick her bum.)

Wednesday, December 24, 2008

I am in my car on our way to Dallas. I wanted to see how well this works out. Merry Christmas everyone!

Sunday, December 21, 2008

I'm so excited!! We'll be in Texas for Christmas again this year. I really like going down there for Christmas. Rick's dad's family is awesome and they are so fun to hang out with on Christmas Eve. We'll be returning the cats I don't like and I'm very excited about that too. So I can finally get the room ready for when my mom comes into town.
The weather is cold and windy here in Omaha. It's beautiful with all the snow that's fallen and I know during the summers (which I hate) I can't wait for winter to come but this winter is just too cold for me. I don't want to go out and do anything, which is bad because I want to go work out but the weather doesn't help my asthma. It's good because I'm finally getting to stuff around the house... like the millions of pounds of laundry. BLAH. Anyways, I hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Year's. New Year's Resolution: Get better at blogging again and work on my pics and get better at taking them. What's yours???

Monday, December 08, 2008

Okay, I know, it's been forever. Not much going on in the last couple of months. Rick deployed and then came back... and all I've been doing is playing with my godson, exercising, playing with my cats and hanging out with my friends.

I love my Leopold.

My friend Phil's wedding.

I got a new phone, a new laptop, a new haircut and hubby just got home. I spent Thanksgiving with friends and will be spending Christmas with my family, Rick. Mama just bought her ticket to come visit me in April. Cats are good... we are planning to finally get the ones that I loath to my mother in law next month. Very excited about that.

I will try to keep up with this blog more starting now. I have a new laptop so that I can watch my Gossip Girl and blog at the same time. :)

Whew! The weekend went by so fast. My old co-worker Ann get married this weekend. It was great to see everyone again from CF and actually see people in more than just their work attire. The next wedding that I know of at this point will be Rachel and Matt's in November. SUPER excited about that one too. It was a lotof fun and it was great to use our awesome camera and take TONS of pics. Just putting a couple of them up. After the wedding, we went to go see a band that my friend Ashley's friend is in. That was fun too, but I was SO ready to go home by 12. I took today to recup from everything and I am still tired. Didn't make my goal time for bed but that's okay.

I love the dress that I wore to this wedding. It's the second time that I've wore it. It's so comfy, and cute and no one else had it. I hate when I wear something that someone else has gone. So yay for a good wedding party dress.

Okay, I'm just going to put 3 pics up. Nothing really going on. Maybe I'll have more chances this weekend to take pictures and get some on here.

It's so funny because she was finishing up her yawn when I caught this pic. My cute Bella

Rick with Baby Chris.... awww....

Saturday, August 02, 2008

It's been a long while.... sorry! It's been a crazy 2 weeks. On July 18th, it was my last day at Camp Fire. I found a job and very quickly had to get out of CF. So I started my new job on July 21st. I work now at Midwest Maintenance in South Omaha. It's only about 5 more minutes on my commute, so that's not too bad. And it's been really good so far. I've been using all of my skills that include FINALLY using my Spanish!! :-D I hadn't done that in forever so I am very excited!!

Nothing else really going on. Rick and I didn't do anything last weekend. Last night though, I am still recovering. I am NOT 21 anymore. It's crazy that by 12am, I am ready to go to bed and need naps the next day. We're at our friend Chris and Michelle's place right now. Their baby is the cutest thing EVER! Christopher Patric Yinger Jr. is the chillest baby. We can't wait to watch him grow up.

BIG NEW!!! And NO, it's not a baby. ;)
This has been like the best week ever! Last week, I sent in a resume to a company here in Omaha for a position. They called me and interviewed me and gave me the job!! So this Monday, I quit the receptionist position I am at right now. I have never quit a job that I had been wanting to leave forever and felt so great about it. So this whole week has gone by fast and I'm so looking forward to starting my new job!!! It made my Fourth of July weekend great.
The 4th was fun. We went to our friend Heather and Jay's house. I have to say, because I grew up in a state that doesn't allow fireworks to go off or sold around, I'm just not used to it. I love the big fat fireworks that the city puts on, but here in NE, it's a different story. Omaha has laws about it, but the towns around are allowed to let fireworks off and sold. So EVERYONE has them and the cul de sacs around here get together and let out shows for the neighborhoods. I HATE IT. I can't STAND THEM. I was ready to go after an hour of them going off. The noise, the smell, I know I sound like a 100 year old but it's so annoying. The 4th was once a fave of mine. Back home in Redwood City, they would have the parade and my family would go and watch and then BBQ and then go to the port of RWC and watch the show at night. That's the wonderful memories I have and love. And now I feel like I can't have that and my future kids won't have that. :( Maybe I'll have to plan my trips to CA around that holiday now. I left my pics at home, sorry.

Thursday, July 03, 2008

Blah, I hate being at work right before a holiday. Nobody is here to answer questions people have and it's too quiet. Oh well. This last weekend was fun. It was Field Day weekend and we got to talk to a lot of people on the radios. I learned some new things and I hope that by next year, I will be better and faster so that I won't get the evil eye from Rick when I can't say things fast or loud enough.
Me, Norm and Rick

Pics by Richard Swig

This week has been a short one. But I will try to put up pictures from this weekend coming up next time I blog. Pics that will be taken by my new camera.

Meet Nikki the Nikon! Rick surprised me today at work with this present! For the last year, we had been talking about getting a nicer camera and finally he took it upon himself and bought it for us. I reminded him today that it was also our 2 year and 10 month anniversary. So it was perfect timing to get this for ourselves. Yay!

Wednesday, June 25, 2008

It's been a week since I got home from CA. We came in late Wednesday night and I had to be at work the next day. Not fun. But I gave myself the weekend to rest and relax. On Saturday, I unpacked and did laundry and cleaned up a bit around the house. I also started getting back into my workout routine. On Sunday, I went from my bed to the couch, watched movies and at the end of the day, went right back to bed. It felt so good. It was gorgeous outside but I was fine inside all day. Sometimes you just need a day like the one I had. I'm ready to play this weekend.

We have a busy weekend ahead of us. We have Omaha's Summer Arts Festival. I'll be going with my friend Molly on Fridday night to the Old Market area. On Saturday, we have FIELD DAY! It's 24 hours of Ham radio operators working all the bands and making as many contacts as they can. I can't remember if I ever wrote about that, but last month I took the test and got my technical license, my goal being that I didn't have to use Rick's call sign this year. So I passed and I can get on certain bands and talk to people. My call sign is KD0EFD. Yes, very geeky. But I did it to make Hubby and happy and while in CA, he bought me my own handitalk radio. So yay for me. :) Hopefully I will have some more interesting things and pics to put up next time.

Francisco and me being silly at the beach

SOOOOO.... while in CA, Rick and I rented a car. We knew that we were going to have a busy week and I wanted to a lot of stuff. We went to Andrew's wedding on Saturday. On Sunday, we went to the beach and took the long way, through the mountains and rivers and trees. I waved at Felicity's house from the main road since it's on the way to the beach. We had an awesome breakfast and then went to the beach. It was COLD! Yes, I know, it's usually cold in the middle of June at Half Moon Bay, but I was hoping there would be a little sun. Nope, no sun. Well, we had to get going by midday. We had another wedding to attend. This time it was an old family friend. We hadn't seen Jaime in YEARS but he had found us through myspace and let us know that while I was in town, he would be getting married. It was a lot of fun and I was so happy to see him and his new wife and twin daughters.

Do you recognize Felicity? Near home!!

Trees!

My handsome brother
It was non stop because on Monday, Rick and I drove down to Monterey. Unfortuntly, I forgot my camera's SD card so I didn't get a chance to take pics on my camera. But we met up with my friend Matthew and he had his so I got a couple from him. We went to the aquarium. It had been a while so it was great to go. While there, I texted my friend Nikki to let her know that I was at her old workplace and missed her lots and lots. She called me back and told me she was moving back to Monterey this weekend. WHAT THE HECK!?!?! I missed her by a couple of days. I was quite upset about that since it's been almost 3 years since I last saw her. Oh well. Afterwards, we went to Carmel Beach (will get pics of that soon hopefully) and then we went back to Matthew's place. We stayed the night at his place (yes, it was okay with him and Rick, no problems there) and the next morning we left and took off for home.

Monterey, oh how I miss your froggy days... sometimes.
